One Fatality, Two Injured in Crash on I-75 Exit Ramp in Findlay

One person was killed, and two others were injured after a crash in Findlay late this past Friday night.

According to a release from the Findlay Police Department, 40-year-old Kalid Abdulaziz Abukar, of Lancing Michigan, was driving at a high rate of speed on the I-75 northbound exit ramp at Trenton Avenue, and he lost control of the vehicle.

His vehicle struck a car being operated by 40-year-old Eric Stuber, of Leipsic, before striking a vehicle being operated by 45-year-old Clarance Bethel II, of Fostoria.

Bethel was pronounced dead at the scene, Abukar was transported to Blanchard Valley Hospital with serious injuries and Stuber was treated at the scene.

An investigation is ongoing, and charges will be submitted at the conclusion of the investigation.

Assisting at the scene was the Findlay Fire Department, Hanco EMS, Hancock County Coroner’s Office, and Frank’s Towing.
