The Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance and the Kenton Historic Courthouse District (HCD) announces the 2025 Kenton Historic Courthouse District Downtown Building & Business Owners Association Downtown Improvement Grant Program award recipients.

Grants were awarded to the following: Corey and Tara Howell, for building revitalization at 9 North Detroit Street; Tim Dawson of Tim Dawson Holdings for building revitalization at 6 North Main Street; Circle R Properties, for parking, sidewalk, and patio renovations at the Forbing Community Centre; Jerico Properties, for building revitalization at K&M Custom Cabinets; and Curlis Limited, for roof repairs of the Kenton 3 Theatre.

Funding for the Downtown Improvement Grants totaled $15,000, and includes a donation from the Middlefield Banking Company, proceeds raised at the Eats on the Street Food Truck Fest, and Community Development funds raised through the Alliance President’s Club.

The Kenton Historic Courthouse District is a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation, and is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance. The purpose of this nonprofit corporation is supporting preservation and business in Kenton’s historic downtown. The Downtown Kenton Building and Business Owners’ Association (DBA) was created to offer grants to incentivize improvements and other worthy projects that enhance downtown Kenton.
